Default Race headers in IL

Was going to order some Pacesetter LT's no EGR/AIR. Has anyone ran into problems with emissions in IL? I have some exhaust work already and they just plug the sensor under the dash and dont pop the hood or look under for cats.

Im guessing I should be good but just would like some reassurance lol

I have the LPP headers with no cats, no EGR, and no AIR. Made it through emissions with no problem. You just need to get a tune to delete the codes. You should be fine.

I got emissions done and then threw all of this illegal **** on. I'll have to worry about it next year.

You by Chicago?

I'm about two hours south of Chicago and they don't give a **** down here... But I hear Chicago can be hit or miss...

If you still need to get emissions done ... go to the one in Markham. They don't give a **** there.

There are 2 kids by my house in Lombard, testing station is in Addision. Once has an 03 Cobra and the other a 02 GT.. My buddy and I pulled in there with our camming T/A both no cats.

I have been going to that one for some time now. All they do is hook your car up to an OBDII scanner; if now CEL is present you're good to go. My total wait time was 1 min 57 sec

A couple shops around here will erase the codes for you for like 50$. Or just buy hptuners credits and be done with it. There's nothing better than pulling into the emissions place, making every ones eyes burn from raw fuel coming out of the exhaust, then passing. It's like slapping the Secretary of State right in the face.

Yep just got my car tested two weeks ago. Pulled in they hooked up the obd, then complained about the smell of gas and two minuted later handed my the sheet that says passed on it. This is with kooks 1 3/4 ory and magnaflow. Also a pretty tall cam as well. I dont even worry about it anymore. As long as your cars tuned your good to go!!!!
