Default For those who have Duals ran out the back?!?

Is it worth the cost to run them out the back of the car vs another Y-pipe/Catback setup? I'm looking to replace my current setup (4'' Mufflex) but want something that isn't dumped and doesn't need a cutout to unlock restricted power all while sounding good.

I had thoughts of a GMMG but for the price of it and another Y/ Flowmaster merge I could have duals fabbed to run out the back of the car and wouldn't need another cutout for unlocking power.

If you have duals out the back could you post pictures of the clearance and how there routed out the back?

Bassani makes an X-pipe that I believe goes out the back. I personally think the Camaros look better without the tips, as I run the TSP duals on my car and I love it.

They do look better without tips, but you can turn them down just shy of the bumper and still have it exit out from underneath the car. I actually went from the 4" to a set of flanged Lanes TD's all the way out the back. I liked both setups, but there was no arguing about the 15° overlap I was running and having it all exit the back of the car. It was blistering loud with 2.5" duals. Clearance for days under the car though. I have pics of it somewhere. I will have to find em.

Setup: TSP Duals with Dynomax bullets, Magnaflow High flow cats, reduced to 2.5, over axle into 18" Red Hots, out back with stock looking 3" taper cut tips. Clearance at lowest point (X-pipe) is about 3.5"

Cost, about $1000~$1200 including $300 friend labor rate.

There's certainly loss of power and added weight but it sounds pretty good.

why loss of power? because of all the bends?

The cats aren't necessary in my home state of MN and the two extra mufflers are a small bit restrictive if you look at their internal construction. They're not totally straight through like the Dynomax bullets.

I'm sure the excessive bends don't help either.
I've been curious to see if there's a significant power difference without that rear section but haven't gotten around to testing it.

Not at the moment. Between school and work the car sits alot. Barely 1k miles in a whole year. Hopefully i'll get caught up sometime and have a chance to get some good pictures and a good sound clip.

This isn't my car, but its a similar setup with I think the same mufflers. Mine is full 3" compared to this one being 2.5". Due to the 3" mine is a little more throaty. I get compliments everytime I drive it.
