Default Truck coil ?'s

I have a bad coil on my car now and I'm looking to upgrade to D585 truck coils. I have a few questions about them. Will the truck coils fit the valve cover and clear everything? Will msd plug wires fit the truck coils? What all is needed for the swap?

When I did my 6.0 LQ9 swap, I had to use my LS1 coils because the truck coils didn't clear the evap thing (don't know the correct name) that is beside the intake on the driver side. I'm not sure if they were the D585 coils that you mentioned though.

If you do it, plan on getting the correct dwell table for the coils changed in your tune.

I would just buy a new single replacement coil and be done with it.

I plan on getting the car dyno tuned in a month or so. Could I drive the car with truck coils and the stock tune?

Most likely. I drove my truck with the wrong coil dwell settings for a long time, I didnt know there were differing settings. But when I found out there was I DL'd a OEM tune from a truck wtih them so I could copy and paste the correct data for my tune.
