Default How much gain with an LS6 manifold on a 98-00 Ls1 ?

Just curious if anyone knows if its worth it or not? I may be buying a 99 and I'll be honest I'll want to do this just to feel better about not choosing a few 01-02s im looking at.

More than likely I'll be doing plugs, wires, 1.8 rr with comp 918s and lsxtreme longtubes and race Y all at the same time and then a tune as soon as I get it rolling. If I buy the 99.

10-20 hp depending on what else you have done. Just bolt ons, probably 10hp or so. Bolt ons AND cam, probably closer to 20hp.

With bolt-ons I think I picked up 8 RWHP and 11 RWTQ untuned.

Since I got the manifold for free, it was worth it.

^^^ about right. It mainly just carries power a little more than an LS1 so the more you spin (up to a point) the bigger the gain.....

At the end of this link on installing a LS6 intake there is a dyno graph that shows 24 HP and 14 TQ gain after installation of LS6 intake.

ive seen about the same tuned on a mild h/c car

its really to keep hp climbing for a cam to like 6600 where the ls1 intake would be choking the **** out of it.
