Default Looking for bolt-ons

hello everyone, just picked up my first ls-1 car, it's a 1998 z-28, a4 with 2.73. the only mods to the car so far are slp lid, bbk intake manifold, and hooker cat-back with a cut out. now for the most parts the car moves "ok" after about 70 but down low its a dog. now im debating on what my next mods should be. its down to long tubes and y pipe, or 3.73's. Im really leaning towards the 3.73's, but im wondering if i do the long tubes will it compensate for the stock 2.73's, or is it just hopeless. if anyone has any other part recommendations im all ears.

3.42, 3.73 gears will wake yor car up. Until you put some gears in there you wont really feelit like you should. But do what your pockets can handle.

Even 3.42's would be a good option if you wanted to keep a decent cruising RPM. They worked pretty well in my last auto LS1. A stall will deff. help out in making it a more lively car all around.

Full exhaust would add a decent amount of kick as well, esp. with a good tune.

3600 stall minimum should be the first mod and don't forget the tranny cooler. Then go for the long tubes and I'd wait on changing gears for when you replace your rear to a 12 bolt.

im set on doing the gears gonna go with 3.73's, i do very little highway driving so mileage is not an issue. i would like to do the converter also, now this is my first automatic car so finding the right converter is scrambling my mind. this is my dd and overall my plans are just bolt on's, so given that what would i be looking at for a converter.

Do yourself a favor and try driving a car that has a stall converter first. They are great for drag racing and they are fine on the highway, but not so much so for city driving. I'd hate to see you spend a grand only to end up disgusted. Plus your fuel economy is going to go out the window in city driving.

if i were you i would spend the money on a built tranny with atleast a 3800 stall and definitley upgrade to a 12 bolt with 3.73..then mod away. that way you have a tranny and rear end to take the abuse and power your throw at it.

With your car being a 98' i would definitely spend the money wisely on a built trans and rear end first.
