Default Intake Manifold

Hey guys i just have a couple of questions. I have a 2002 ws6 and i was looking to upgrade the intake manifold. I was looking at the FAST LSXR (102mm inlet), I was wondering if that would fit the stock Ls1 engine? If soo would i need to change anything else, such as the throttle body or anything? Also, do yall have any other suggestions on better intakes?

Thanks guys!

fast is pretty much the best intake you can get without going custom, it would be smart to get a ported and polish throttle body to go along with the intake

Default 102

I installed the fast 102/102 setup on my 404 stroker. There are a couple of things that have to be changed.

1. The LS1 fuel rail will not work with that manifold.... you can use an LS2 style rail or upgrade to a billet rail setup (which requires additional parts)

2. Larger O-rings are needed on the ls1 style injectors to fit the ls2 rail on the fast 102.

3. I had to do some minor clearancing of the stock waterpump for the install.... no problem really but had to be done.

One cool thing about the fast 102 is that you can relocate the map sensor to the front of the manifold. I highly recommend this as it can easily be checked/changed on the front of the engine.

I think it is a good mod and will not limit you in the future.

Good luck

BTW: If you want to come to my shop in Northeast Louisiana, I'll install it for your stock manifold.
