Default ignition problems maybe?? need help!!!

A freind of mine has a 2002 Z06 and he is having issues with his car holing a charge..when the problem first started his voltage gage was reading 11 volts while driving..so we did a little digging and found that the wire coming off the back of starter was burnt to shi-t..We are assuming from the headers that were horrible installed by previous owner..so we replaced that wire, it was the wire with the fusable link in it..then we replaced altanater and battery..The car was fine for about a week and now its happening again..Any advice or cure will be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks in advance..

Do you have access to an amp meter? Volts are right but you need to see the amps the alternater is putting out. Also I know you said it is a new battary but have it load tested anyway. Most Auto stores will do it for free. Check all grounds and cables for corrosion and looseness.
