Angry rattles sound when warming up

i have a distinct rattle/vibration when the car first starts up and for about ten seconds after. Then when it settles into its idle it goes away. I was going to go nuts and take off the heat shields, but worried about the heat causing damage. Somebody at the local cruise suggested poly motor mounts to eliminate engine vibration. any ideas? sick of having a nice car sound like a hoopdy! i have a futral f14 cam, slp headers/y and dual dual

I have something similar -- I think it's the brakeline holders that no longer fit proper after adding Goodridge Stainless Steel braided soft lines... Will have to investigate it closer.

Also check belt tensioner bolts and alternator bolts...

yes. poly mounts will reduce engine flexing which will in turn reduce your exhaust movement.

I noticed a lot more exhaust movement after having welded SFCs installed, and I think it bucks and hits the floorboard over bumps (unless its something else?) -- anyone else with the same experience?

i have a sort of similar problem too... but mine has been ever since a spinout on the freeway in the rain. when the car is cold no rattle noise. when its hot and in drive it ratles like a damn snake when im at a red light. it does the same thing when its in park too. BUT it doesnt rattle when im at the light in drive with my ebrake on. it kind of sounds like the driveshaft is out of balence from the wreck. anyone have an idea?
