Default BBK SSI Intake manifold question?

i just bought a used BBK SSI manifold for my 00 Z28, i bought the manifold BARE with no bolts or the spacer that is provided, will this cause any issues for me or can i use the stock manifold bolts that bolt to the head? is the spacer really needed for my car ill be running the stock throttle body. thanks in advance

no, you need different bolts. the factory ls1's do not work, they are too long. also you will need the gasket from the manifold-TB it does not use an o-ring like the factory composite. also need to change your valley cover bolts to small allen head bolts.

You do not need to change your valley cover bolts. Only the rear most passenger side one, it needs to be a button head bolt, or you can do like I did and cut the top of the stock bolt down with a dremel since my used intake did not come with one.

As far as the bolts, contact BBK and see if they can get you some? Or maybe get you the type of bolts so you can find your own.

For the gasket, it is just the flat paper gasket so you could cut your own out if you got some at the auto parts store.

ok guys i have one more question, i know the stock bolts (intake to head)are to long for the bbk so can someone maybe measure a bolt to see how long they are then with that i can go to my local bolt store to get the correct bolt for the manifold, if i call bbk i know they will charge a arm and leg for the bolts and shipping, thanks again
ps i bought 14 new button bolts for the valley pan already so im good there

Install a stock one thats too long and mark how deep it goes with a sharpie. Remove, measure and buy accordingly
