Default Racetronixs fuel pump

I got a racetronixs fuel pump and I installed it on my 2002 camaro. Well I pulled my motor out of the car and I am about to put a new one in it. So when I tested the new fuel pump it doesnt pump is there something that has to be connected to the engine to make the fuel pump pump or is there something else wrong. I installed the new wiring harness and I know that it is plugged in right.

Just FYI I put the old pump in that worked before I pulled the motor and it doesnt pump either and that was using the factory wiring harness.

If you left the engine harness in the car and connected, I can't see any reason the PCM wouldn't pull the fuel pump relay and try to prime when the key is turned to the RUN position.

Most people don't want to do that because fuel will spray everywhere if the feed line isn't connected or capped.
