Default Egr/air bock off plates

I've been meaning to post these up for a while now. When I bought the car, it already had the erg and air systems off and had pacesetter headers installed. I was wondering if I should change up these block off plates... Could they be leaking as there are right now? If nothing else, I thought they looked silly.. Something for you guys to look at.

the best thing to do is to have them cut off and the primary welded shut about 1/4" to the primary. They actually can break off after continued use and leave a hole in ur primary! Ask me how I know lol. Nick at American Racing Headers gave the info I provided above about cutting it off etc.
