Just did mine,
get the car in the air, remove right shock and disconnect swaybar. I removed the panhard top and bottom. Let the rear drop down, the right will drop down more because you still have the left shock connected. Then curse a few new words you just discovered as you maneuver the exhaust out.
I then had to replenish with a gallon of water I just sweated out, it's no joke in Mobile AL in the summer.

Does it fit directly up to the stock y-pipe or do I have to get a new y-pipe also

I believe it bolts right up, not 100% though. I'm waiting on parts to do my motor mounts so I didn't install my headers and y yet.

go to autozone and rent their exhaust pipe cutter. You should be able to cut the exhaust near the rear end so you don't have to remove so many suspension components.

****, just take a sawzall to it and have some clamps ready. cut short of where you want it to fit so you dont hack off anything. just helped put on a borla cat back this week, took us no more than 30 mins to cut and line it up.
