i just put my Borla on my SS and had some rattles, so i just slid under it and tapped on it and got each rattle taken care of, had to un bolt the first clamp on the I pipe too and turn the system to keep from rattling on a heat sheild,

check all the clamps, and the tips (if you got them) otherwise double check all the clearance between pipe and heat shields.

All good ideas, but none that will fix the infamous "Hooker Rattle". I cut my Hooker open to see what it was and I found it; there is a small cylinder in the walls of the chamber inside that only has 2 small tack-welds on it. Some go for years without any problems and some rattle after first start-up. It's the only flaw I've ever heard from the Hooker and it's been an inherit problem since Hooker started selling them. Maybe you're lucky and it is just a loose connection but it sounds like it's coming from the muffler itself then you can't fix it.

you just think it's the exhaust....but really it's time for a 12 bolt.
