Best idea for heads with this combo I've got a stock internal LQ4, about to put on an LS6 ported & shimmed TSP pump, P&P'd MAF w/ matching TB, LS6 intake, and I'm thinking upgrading to Katech rod bolts. Also I am contemplating on a cam and think I'll be going with either the GMPP Hotcam or an 02+ LS6 cam. Also the exhaust will either be BMR 1-7/8" g-body swap headers or F-body pacesetters. The exhaust is 2.5" all the way back with an x-pipe. It's going to be in a 79' Malibu with a 4L60E and 8.5" rear end.
The car will be a driver that has some *****, but not super huge *****. Just nice sized *****.
Any thanks would be appreciated. I was thinking about getting the 317's milled down to bump the CR up but would like some opinions on how much to get milled etc.
