Default meziere water pump install problems

today i put my meziere ewp on and had a few problems.. after i put it on i went to bolt the throttle body back on and the bottom left corner was hitting on the pump so i had to grind some of the throttle body to bolt it on. Once that was done after i bolted it up the part that the throttle cable sits in (not sure what u would call it) was also rubbing on the pump so bad that i couldnt open the throttle blade so i had to grind quite a bit off the bottom of it to, just wondering if anyone has encountered any of these problems when installing theres

I had the same problem. You can either grind the cable housing or file the waterpump down for clearance

The OPs problems are typical problems expected according to ls1howto. Gains are said to be something like 0-15 hp i just depending who you talk to . Probably best thing about the ewp is you can run it with the engine off while you're waiting your turn at the drag strip.

i have one on my car and had none of the issues you faced with install. however i am running a FAST 90/90 combo. i have read that the 92 and up sizes have these issues when installing an EWP.

The fitment wasn't a issue for my car. I was running a LS6 intake with a stock TB and milled AFR heads. Sure I did a little grinding here and there though.

We'll see how it fits on an LS3 with a FAST 102 intake and TB.

Keep in mind that if you run the race version, you will not have heat.

Another thing. I didn't gain much power per say. But with the ability to turn the fans on and also run the pump with the engine off while waiting to make the next pass, you might experience significant gains relative to having a hot engine.

yeah my heat and a/c has been deleted for a while now and the ability to run the fans and water pump while the car is in the staging lanes is exactly my plan
