Default Quieting exhaust with spiral flow. Before or after the muffler?

I am building a new exhaust (the time in my sig was through a stock muffler). I will be getting a Magnaflow muffler in place of stock (piping is 3" single).

I will be using Moroso Spiral Flow muffler(s) inline with the Magnaflow.

Which would sound better:

1. A single spiral flow in the I-Pipe before the Magnaflow
2. A pair, tucked up immediately after Magnaflow on each outlet. Remaining hidden before the tips.

If you still have your cats on the car. You wont need a spiral flow with the Magnaflow, it will be quiet as hell. But I would put it one in the I pipe, I wouldnt buy 2 for the tail pipes.

That is what I was hoping for. I happen to have one sitting under my bed, so what the hell, into the iPipe it goes. Thanks.

Kind of a useless poll. I was leaning that way, I guess I needed reassurance or something. Thanks!

The body of the spiral flow is 4", so there is .5" less clearance at the point in which I will weld in the Moroso. This is still higher than the body mount Spohn torque arm that sits next to it, so I am not too worried about clearance. The Moroso's CFM is 850 which is more than double that of the Magnaflow (4" body compared to 2.5" pipes in the Magnaflow).

Basically, flow and clearance aren't really issues.

Funny you posted this - I was looking at various ways to change my exhaust last night

I'll have to run some ideas by you when we hang out again.

Yup, I was just thinking "doesn't Aaron have a Magnaflow..."

Nice.
