Exclamation question for those building a lq9/lq4 right now. please help. pics inside.

This is my first 6.0 build. As i was inspecting/cleaning the shortblock, i notice something that was very odd. Right above where the lifters meet the cam, All 4 corners looks like it was busted or something... is this normal????? see pics!
(the 2 center holes looks normal, but the ones furthest back and front are not consistant with the center two)

This is what the center 2 looks like on both sides.. normal looking.

Looks normal to me. I have a bare 6.0 block in my garage and it looks the same. All of the holes on the ends are like that while the center holes are round. Nothing to worry about

^ thanks for your response! Can anyone else chime in? a friend of mine said on his 6.0 is not like that and that it can be a possible cast error? I hate to bolt up the heads and end up not being able to use this block..

i guess im just not used to seeing something GM would do as far as a hole that is so jagged and rough. it literaly looks blown through accidently. If others would like to post pics or share thoughts around this, feel free!

Its kinda like an as casted hole, whereas the others are a finished drilled hole. You're fine.
