Default 2 inch kooks on a supercharged 364

I am looking at charging my setup. Right now I'm looking to upgrade my exhaust to the kooks 2 inch headers, 3 1/2 y, and 4 inch catback. It already makes 475rwhp with pacesetters and a magnaflow catback. Look at my sig to see the rest of the setup. Do you think it will pick up a good amount of power or do you think that is to big? Please give a reason you think it will help or not and how much will I get out of it.

I think for the setup you have currently it is overkill. I think 1 7/8 headers, 3 inch y and catback would be enough. What type of blower you runnin?

go with a 1 7/8th set of headers (pleanty big to grow into), a 3" y, and merge into a flowmaster 3" to 4" merge, then do 4" out the back. either that, or a 3" true dual setup.

I don't think it's too big for now or future to be honest. I don't think you will see all the gains that will give you until you put a good bit more power to the car, but if you do it now, you won't have to mess with that later on down the road.

It is getting a Vortech ysi with a 3 inch blower and a 8 inch crank. If the motor goes it is going to get a forged ls3 or a stroked ls3. I am going for a 1000+ rear wheel.

I agree with the stated. If you have big plans for the future, you might as well get the small stuff out of the way now. No point in spending money on 1 7/8 headers now if later down the road you'll end up replacing them.

This.

That is why my car currently has 1 7/8ths kooks, 3" Y, 4" merge, 4" cutout. I'm stock with bolt ons now, but know I'll be going bigger later down the road. No real loss, but plenty of potential and I only had to build it myself once!

Thankx for the replies. That is what I was thinking. was going to save money get new wheels but the tires I want (345/30/19 nitto nt05r) is on national back order. Now I got some 325/30/19's for half and have extra for the full exhaust

Thinking of maybe replacing those 241 heads while you're at it? Seems to me to be the next weak link of that setup, even if they are ported.

I think they a fine do to the fact that I see people run AFR's milled and make 460-480 average with the same setup. That is with 11 to 1 compression. I sit at 9.7, and to only be down 10 hp, I'am happy with that for now.
