Default Exhaust problems after Poly Motor Mounts

So I installed brand new urethane motor mounts in the stock clamshells when I changed out my motor recently. I have American Racing Headers and their offroad y-pipe. The exhaust used to have perfect clearance on the stock motor mounts, but now that I have the urethane ones, the exhaust sits several inches higher. Now the the y-pipe rests slightly against the floorboard in one spot, rests against the fuel lines in another spot, and barely rests against my drive shaft safety loop. Everyone always talks about how good y-pipe clearance is with poly motor mounts but mine is much worse now than before...what should I do? Install a bump stop like this: http://www.thunderracing.com/shop-by...anger_528.html

or have an exhaust shop weld up something? Any advice?

I have the exact same setup with no problems. Did you try loosening the y-pipe and adjusting it for more clearance? Mine is hooked to a Magnaflow cat back, and nothing hits or rubs.

I have exact same set up as well and no issues. I'd loosen Y pipe and headers, then adjust and retighten.

I'm kind of confused how can you move the exhaust down several inches by just loosening the clamps?

My headers got worse clearance with poly mounts as well, like you said it brought it up wayyy to much.

I switched to TSP Duals and it clears the floorboard better but I plan on changing the entire k-member. The headers still almost rest on the k member and when the engine is under load at low rpm it occasionally taps it. Its annoying as hell and its only on the drivers side ironically.

heat the y-pipe up in the area it's hitting and bend it down. kind of a shitty way of doing things but it works  no use in changing your entire exhaust system because of some clearance issues

The y-pipe isnt the issue unfortunately Ill get some pics in a second. You can call my local exhaust shop and they heated my ypipe at the collectors and at the y to recorrect the angle. Which ironically fused my headers to the ypipe and I had to cut the SOB off in a few places.

You can also get some exhaust/header wrap and wrap the area that's hitting...it'll deaden the sound a bit.
