Default Help with my exhaust

I am happy with my exhaust from my flowmaster merge forward. The issue that I have is from the merge back. I still have a stock over the axle pipe with a 3 inch electric cutout at the bend going into the muffler. I have been told that I should be running 4" from the merge back to the cutout but I can't see that I have room. Is there anyone that modifies the panhard support bar to gain more clearance?
I don't think true duals is possible because of the size of the MId west torque arm and I want to keep the center mount style tips.
These are the tips that I have had made to replace the existing ones

What I plan on doing is running a 4" back to the cutout which will be installed before the axle, under/behind the passenger seat. So basically a short 4" pipe from the merge to the cutout. And then reducing it to 3" right after the cutout and over the axle to the muffler.

A lot of guys are doing 4" to the back. Search for 4" Mufflex and Panhard Bar Relocation to get all the information and pics you need. Here's a few starter links:

Thanks for the link, I have never seen that PH bar relocation kit. Mufflex only wants to sell the complete 4" system, does anyone just sell a 4" over the axle pipe? I spoke to flowmaster and they couldn't help.

Yeah...finding just the over the axle pipe in 3" is tough, but can be found.

Finding a pre-made 4" is almost impossible it seems. You may have to buy some 4" mandrel bends and fab it yourself.

It seems that the reworked PH bar is designed for putting twin 3" pipes over the rear axle, does anyone know if you can also fit a 4" pipe?

lol...did you even bother reading the 1st link I posted above the Byunspeed link? It's a thread with pictures showing 4" over the axle catbacks.

One pic shows the brace is removed altogether, not a good idea IMO.

Another link is showing it's being done with the stock PHB brace.

I looked at the photos and couldn't really see how it was done.

Both UMI and BMR make the relocation bars. They are a little on the expensive side but provide plenty of clearance for a 4" intermediate pipe.

My car has a 3" to 4" flowmaster Y with 4" up and over the rear to a single 4" in to dual 3" out magnaflow muffler to dual 3" tailpipes out the left rear side. Nice & quite and flows plenty of air.

The 4" intermediate pipe can be made from a tailpipe off early 2000's chevy trucks with a little cutting and re-fitting. It's also made out of Stainless and is made and sold by magnaflow.
