Default Aluminum PS Pulley

Does anyone have the Aluminum PS pump pulley? If so, are there any drawbacks from it? Mine just cracked and I am looking to get an aluminum one. Thanks

Got a link? Only alum PS pulleys ive seen are aftermarket. No problems should come from the stock plastic piece unless you bonk it, then its toast. LSx trucks used a steel pulley of the same dimensions which Im running currently

I have a Turn-One pulley on my pump.. Works great, no issues and it allows me to access the bolts on the pump without having to pull the pulley off first.

Besides.. It looks cool too.

being that the stock pulley's plastic, i doubt an aluminum one would be any weight difference enough to give or take any horsepower. if it was lighter, i can't see it giving you anymore power than what the dyno would fluctuate from run to run.

I have a 2010 L99/LS3 P/S pulley. You can get to all three mounting bolts and I'm pretty sure it's steel (seams awfully heavy if it's plastic).

PN 12610794
P/S pump pulley
$40.16list or $24.09 through gmpartsgiant.com or you could probably get it cheaper through gmpartsdirect.com

I can take a pic of mine also if you need it. It felt heavy enough that I'm 90% sure it's steel.

I just can't see paying $60 for a plastic pulley from GM and then having it break again. SO I think the aluminum one I saw on Ebay might be the ticket. Plus I can get to the bolts.....

The L99 pulley is not plastic, it's only $25, and you can get to all the bolts. What's not to like?

i'd go with that if mine broke. but if not, i'd just drill holes in the factory one like studderin said.
