Default 42lb injectors on bolt-on car? yay or neh

so as the title states, i just picked up a fast 92/92 combo and it came with 42lb injectors attached so i was wondering if i could run them on my motor with no problem, or if i should stick with my 28lb injectors? i have a diablo sport tuner and could tune it and lean out the injector, but i want to know if this will hurt my motor or help it, or even change my MPG around. mods are in my sig. all advice welcome. i will be camming the car in the future but never forced induction. but for now just bolts ons

dont bother with them, they arent neccesary until you get some more mods on there. Both of our WS.6s, when they were cammed with full bolt ons, used stock injectors without a problem. I didnt pick up injectors until i picked up some AFR 205s.

Run your stockers at bolt on levels.

Just hold on to them until you do a heads and cam. if you forked over the cash for a fast setup the rest of it "H/C" is in your future.

To be able to use them you have to get your PCM edited (injector tables).

With just intake/longtubes, you should not require those injectors, as was said above.

This is one of your recent posts I actually agree with.

There are some H/C/I cars running stock injectors with well over 400rwhp. I think it comes down mostly to the tuner.

I will give examples if needed.

thanks guys for all your help, from this thread i think i am gonna sell the 42lb injectors. if anything i will upgrade to 30's if necessary cause i plan on makin at least 450 to the wheels on my future setup. i have seen plenty of people make 500+ to the wheels with mid 240 duration on the LSL lobe cams and i think that 450 with ported heads and a compression ration of 11.1-1 is very reasonable. thanks again

If you do a Dry N20 setup you could use the 42lbs.... I actually run stockers on my and im at 450rwhp. I know its not the norm but no issues yet and they will be getting replaced soon.

My thoughts:

-42lb injectors are too big for even a heads/cam car, much less a bolt on car. The internet will have you believe you need 700lb injectors for almost anything, but the truth is MOST people on this website put too much injector on their motors.
-Your car has 26.4lb injectors unless you've changed them out for a 98 or 01-02 injector. 99-00's have smaller injectors.
-Why in the world did you buy a FAST intake for a bolt on car?
-Diablo tuners are insufficient once you get into modding internally. Sell it and buy real tuning software if you wish to tune yourself.

Let me know if you decide to sell them. I am building a 427 and that is the injector size my tuner told me to get for my build.

I will add on stock injectors in my 99ss m6 with a ms4 ,injectors were at 97% at 6300 rpm last time we had it on the dyno,I know that's a lot of cam but I didn't think I needed them till I got heads,
