Default Does anyones W/B go nuts when they open the E-cutout?

I installed my E-cutout earlier this week. When I open it the gauge goes to 21! When I close it the W/B starts to flash like it does when you first turn the car on.

This can't be normal. I have no idea what is causing it. If it's the wiring I have no idea what it could be.

Thanks.

Jason

if its reasonably close the the cutout the fresh air can backwash in and skew it. There should be a minimum of 1 foot of pipe after it

Its a good three feet from the W/B sensor to the cutout.

probably ground "noise" when you operate the cutout. I'll bet you have an electrical problem, not a misread.

The instructions say to use "one" ground point and not several round terminal ends stacked on each other. I have like five grounds going into a large round terminal that I soldered in.

What is the best way to do it?
