Default PCV delete?

I've searched and found a little info on this but not enough to convince me to remove it. Is there any negative effect of deleting the pcv system? I have the engine out of my car for a heads and cam swap, if i don't have to put the pcv system back in I'm not going to. My question is do I really need the pcv system on my car and will removing it have an adverse effect on the engine?

yes you do, the pcv system vents pressure out of the motor along with gases and oil mist.

while you are in there i would consider going to an ls6 pcv.

You can't just remove the PCV system. You can modify it though.

That's actually what i was meaning. Just modify the PCV system and delete the stock setup. I was thinking about just putting breathers and removing some of the hoses.

IT removes ALOT of water, when I had a homemade catch can on mine it would fill a qt water every few days. I wouldn't run without it.

Your oil will foul sooner and you'll see a lot more leaks.

well I'm fixing oil leaks while i have the engine out so I definitely don't want more. That reason alone is enough for me to just leave it alone.
