Default Texas speed 1 7/8???

Ok ive seen that texas speed makes their own 1 7/8 headers but i havent heard alot of people talk about them. i wanna get headers from tsp because they are $500 instead of $900 for kooks, but i wanna know if people have had clearance issues or any flaw when putting them on or is it worth it to just go with kooks. let me know please.

thanks in advance

Look good since they come ceramic coated but I'd pony up for stainless (ARH, kooks). Ebay has a decent fitting stainless set for around $500

I have them. Great gains, fitment is great, installation sucks. I would recommend them to anyone.

i have installed three sets of TSP 1 and 7/8 headers. last ones i did the guy put in prothane motor mounts at the same time. made a huge difference in the clearance around the steering shaft. only other headers i've installed have been 1 and 3/4 and they are a lot easier of course. any way i love my TSP's.

My passenger side header sits really low and my car is not lowered. The install sucked *** the only other header install that was worse was back in 2000 with those 1st gen batch of pacesetter where you had to notch your frame... You are going to need to remove the driver side motor mount pedestal (I also removed my steering arm just for more clearance) As with any install a lift would make it easier but I did mine on my back with the car jacked up. All in all they are definitly worth the money for a 1 7/8 ceramic coated header.

This is a great piece of advice! If the OP or anybody else has any questions about these headers or any other TSP products, feel free to give us a call
