whats the best head and cam pacage just looking fo your guys opinion on head and cam packages witch you think is best. and witch are best for the $. and what poer nubers do they make. thanks. for ls1 trans am. 01

ms4 or ms3 are great cams from Texas speed..my friends 99 ws6 6speed but down 421 to the wheels with ms4 cam, with stock heads and ls6 intake..texas speed has alot of great stuff in head cam packages..i had the torquer V2 and staged 2.5 prc ls6 style heads on my 04 GTO..she put down 427 threw an auto..my roommate as that cam ( the V2) with stock ls6 heads(stock porting) and a stock ls6 intake..with a shitty tune went 12.38 at 114 in the quarter mile..runs strong..it all just depends on how much you are willing to pay..do you have a price range? it would help a lot.

Your gonna get the most for your money at texas speed,you don't have enough info for us to suggest anything,I say call tsp and talk with them. I have a ms4 in my 99ss m6 and I love it but big cams are not for everyone,my plans are to put my ms4 in my 6.0 ,my cam isn't bad on the street though but you will get some bucking at lower rpms no matter how good your tune is.my tune is really good in my car but it wasn't cheap to get it perfect, 4 hours of dyno time,a few on the street ,and about a hour in my drive way.in a street car you want more low mid range than spinning it to 6800.don't get caught up in numbers there just numbers,yeah ms4 makes good numbers but unless you have a high gear it will be a dog down low,my car wasn't the best under 2300 but pulls like a train up top

Some cams are hit or miss. That includes all the ones that get mentioned here. The only cam that has always made consistant power is the T-rex. Its a donkey dick cam but it always deliver. Ultimately the owner needs to decide what they want and don't want.
Top end cams like ms4. T rex. Do not have the best from a dead stop power but pull freakishly good 4k and up.
So you gotta decide what u want.

the only t rex car I have ever ran went from a dig to 105 and I had him by 2 1/2,its not so much about having a t rex or ms4 or whatever other big ones are out there its about having them set up right,next year I will more than likely be running under 11.40s cam only,and somewhere in the 10s with a small shot.its more in suspension

i want to spend 2 to 3000. can i get a reasonable pacage for that price range. usually how much does it cost to tune a car ust trying to factor everything.

and by the way..i did this H/C package,http://www.texas-speed.com/shop/item...d=832&catid=47, on my 04 GTO and she laid down 427 threw the stock stall
you get those heads and you can pick whatever cam you want..i would go with ms4 on a 112 lsa..that my opinion tho..ask Texas Speed..there good on that stuff!
