Default Who had or has LS Fbody Doug's Headers

I have a set of LS1 Fbody Doug LT 1-7/8 headers. I can't seem to find much, if anything, on these. For those that's run them, what's your opinion on them?

They've been sitting for a bit and have some rust at the collector, other than that, they look pretty good. I was thinking about having them media blasted and sent to Airborne Coatings, to get sprayed. I'll be using them as a dump setup, with some bullets, dumping just past the front seats.

They look really similar to the Hooker headers I had.

I had a set for my SBC 3rd gen a long time ago. If I remember right, the guy that started Doug's (probably Doug lol) left Hooker and started his own company using his same designs so that's why they look like Hooker headers. Mine were exactly the same as the Hookers for my car at much cheaper price.

Actually, Doug's Headers predates Hooker by about a decade, then became Doug Thorley Headers, which got bought out along the way, and now the original Doug is doing his own thing again. At least this is the way I heard it.... and I remember the "first" Doug's headers from the 60's.

Hopefully Doug's new products are better than Hookers which I felt weren't great quality.
