Default Cam Head swap any advice

Started my cam/head/intake swap. Mild cam, 243 milled heads, and ls6 intake. Working on a A4, managed to break the OPSU and found a broken exhuast bolt driver side.

1.) I have to unbolt the dip stick to remove the passenger side exhaust? Any write ups? 2.) Any advice this is my second day working on it.

What else do I have to look forward to?

I think you are required to break the OPSU on your first head swap - it is like a rule.

Have you looked at the write ups on LS1howto dot com?

1.) Yes, there is a bolt in the side of the block, unbolt and pull up on the tube, it might be tight, but give it a tug, it will come out.

Did you get all the new gaskets needed? New Oil pump and O-ring? Do you have all the proper Torque numbers for the bolts?
Definitly go to write-up as mentioned below, lots of good info on there.
Here are some links I used below on helpful tips....

IMPORTANT....put a rag in the oil pan before you remove the oil pump screw, this will prevent it from falling back in the oil pan, you;ll see what I mean when you get to that point.

Sounds good titan thanks. I helped two engine swaps before. Friends swapping to 6.0. This is my first 100% on my own build. Took around 8 hours to remove the complete top half minus heads. Doing exhuast and cam today. Hope monday I can start her up. Thanks darkman! I will frequent howto so I wont be surprised, I wish I had time to do this out of the bay this sucks lol.
