I agree. The TSP catted Y is a nice piece.

Do you need a whole new Y-pipe?
If not, you could just pick up some high-flow cats and have them welded on. Would be about 1/2 the cost of getting an entire new Y.

Depends how much work they have to do to get them in. Make sure they are a small low profile cat. Otherwise, you will be dragging them over every bump in the road!

I had the pacesetter ory that was on my hooker LTs and bought the cats to get put into the PS Y, but after looking at the fit of the PS Y and how the cats would mount, I decided not to try to weld the cats in and saved the money for the TSP catted Y. They use the same style of cats I bought but the fitment is better and they also have a better merge on the Y which helps with flow and sound. Just my .02.

I still have those stinking cats just sitting and collecting dust now too

Magnaflow Hi-Flow Heavy Metal cats part #99659HM. I got both of mine for 169.00 shipped. 3" in and 3" out body size is 4" so only .5 inches bigger all the way around of the inlet/outlet and they support up to a 6.2L. I put 3bolt 3" header flanges on my Pacesetters and on each side of my cats and then on my pipe so I could just bolt them in. That way if for some reason you ever have to replace your cats you won't have to cut your pipe over and over. Just pope the bolts out, put in a new cat with flanges and bolt it back up.

Did anyone even read the OP's opening statement??? You DO NOT NEED BACKPRESSURE, no engine does. You need a properly sized exhaust, dual 3" pipes to a Y merge that necks down to 2.75" on any aftermarket cat-back is q restriction, we really should have a Y and then true 3" collector....

Don't spend money on cats for backpressure, only if you NEED them to pass inspection.

I can understand wanting cats for sound or for emissions but for backpressure? You don't need them for that at all. The TSP catted Y is a pretty nice peice from the few I've seen but unless you have another reason than for backpressure you don't need it.

I'm looking at getting Pacesetter LT's sometime too, probably the 1 3/4" ones, and I believe I heard that you guys are adding a stainless steel catted y-pipe to the TSP catalog, is that right? Also I've heard mixed reviews about fitment and ground clearance, is there any advice or info as far as those two things go since it won't be possible for you guys to install it for me?

Also, I have a Borla adjustable catback, would the TSP catted y bolt directly up to that no issue?
