Default Ticket b/c it's too loud. What muffler is better?

Well, I got my first ticket after the rebuild today for "modified exhaust"...really? I am running headers, no cats, 3" exhaust, and the normal single-in/dual-out Trans Am flowmaster muffler. My question is what would be a good muffler to run that allows the cam to still be heard but just quiets down the exhaust at the same time. Thanks in advance for the help.

Nice vids. What sound am I looking for...open header sound...lol I just want to get something on there that will make it quiet enough that the trooper doesn't hear me too much with his windows up and car running. I wasn't too worried about it, but found out that this is a $220 ticket. I am not sure how many of those I can afford.

Wow, when I was pulled over for not having a plate, which I flipped up and tricked Mr. Trooper, he did not bother me about my exhaust. Which are TSP headers and true duals...

Is the flowmaster louder than the TSP bullets?

I was kinda leaning towards dynomax after reading a few articles.

He actually pulled me over for my tint which is only on the passenger side. It was taken off the drivers side and never removed from the passenger side. He didn't know what to say when he didn't see 14% on the drivers side. He couldn't write me a ticket for that, but then said my exhaust was too loud. The troopers around here are ******. I read the law and it's one of those that if you have an exhaust leak, they can stick you.

lol...I actually thought about putting a stock muffler on there with electric cutouts. I would leave those open most of the time of course.

Damn that's rough he actually gave you a ticket. Last week I got pulled over for the same thing (stalled H/C/I with cutouts open lol). Told him it was probably an exhaust leak and he let me go with just a warning.

I got lucky, but ordered a 3.5" DMH e-cutout today to prevent a repeat.

That's pretty funny. I live in Louisiana and the state troopers around here are ******. If they pull you over, they are going to find a reason to write you a ticket for something. If it was just a cop, he probably would of talked about it a little and that would of been it.
