Oil change with long tubes sucks!
Just put my car up on ramps to do the first oil change since my long tubes were installed and what a mess this is going to be. When you pull the plug its going to drain all over the driver side header. Waiting for it to cool down now guess I'll keep the paper towels handy there is going to be some clean up to do.

i know exactly what you are talking about but it doesnt make a big mess, i would let it cool down.
It is just going to come out and fan after it hits the header. Happens to me everytime.

Haha! .. I don't know when I started doing this but I always set my passenger side jack 1-inch higher than the drivers side to help angle more fluid towards the drain hole.

why doesn't everyone post up what headers they have this way we can see if there is any correlation between those who say it hits, close or fine.
Pacesetter's and I've never had an issue.

American racing headers. Pulled the plug and it drains rite into the headers untill the flow slows down. Not as bad as I thought but still gets all over the headers on the driver side.

Dont get pissed here but are you taking the pan bolt out before removing the filler cap, If you left the oil filler cap on, this would not allow air to freely flow into the engine and maybe slowing the flow till the outrush of oil slows some??? I honestly dont know how the oil could be shooting straight out sideways and hitting the headers either, but its your car and you say it does so obviously it does. Its just hard to imagine it though. I have the hooker lt's and tsp oryp and the oil drain on my car is perfectly fine, Id like to see a vid or pic if it were possible and maybe someone on here could come up with something to help ya.

Even with the oil cap off up top it still does it. The primarys are probably 1/2" away from the oil drain plug. You cannot get a socket wrench on it you have to use a open ended wrench or gear wrench to loosen the drain plug. Once you pull it out the oil only catchs the bottom half of the closest primary that's it.
