Default SES light help

I just used an engine cleaner on my 2000 SS followed the directions. Sprayed on let sit then rinse off and run engine for 10 min. Once I got back in my car to turn it off the ses light was on. What could I have screwed up??

There are a number of connectors, such as the O2 sensor connectors, that will throw a code from water intrusion. Ironically, running the motor after cleaning it often makes water intrusion more likely because it turns the water into steam. In any event, it will often cure itself once allowed to dry completely. You may have to disconnect the battery for a little while to clear the code.
