Default Bullet Style muffler

Has anyone tried doing 2 bullet style mufflers in place of the standard (1 pipe in 2 pipes out) muffler behind the axle on an f-body?

Basically splitting the pipe behind the axle and having a small bullet muffler for each side.

A link would be great as well!

Anybody have any luck with fabing up one with some basic bullet mufflers instead of buying one of those expensive catbacks?

It wouldn't be hard. I made the x-pipe for my custom built exhaust system out of two mandrel bends. A chop saw and a welder makes this a very easy task. Get a mandrel bend and a strait pipe and make your Y out back, then run your exhaust through some bullets.

GMMG uses a chambered bullet, a dynomax is a fiberglass bullet. They will sound different. You can buy just chambered bullets though, I know stainless werks makes one and maybe sweet thunder?
