Default cat question

how many cats can i delete on a 2000 ss i dont have to worry about smog checks

You actually dont delete the cats,, You remove them, then have the computer programmed (TUNED) and they will delete the rear O2 sensors that way the ECM wont throw codes. If you removed the cats, and left the sensors, then the computer would sense it and throw codes. Have the O2s deleted, and then get yourself a set of headers, and An ORY pipe, with a good catback and you will be good to go, and with a smile on your face.
