Question a/c block off plate

I have a 99 Z28 that had the a/c box sawed off at the firewall, who makes a plate to cover the hole and still let the heat work properly

There isn't one, I made my own when I took the AC out of my car

BMR makes one but you'll have to cut it for the heater core lines

Get yourselves a sheet of aluminum, and trace out the hole onto it, and cut it a bit bigger. Then drill holes in it, lay a line of sealant and bolt it on.
Shouldn't cost more than 20 bucks.
They sale these things for around 70 or 80.

If you want to be legal about it (NHRA Safety Standards Legal) It has to be a certain amount thick. You wont pass tech with just a super thin piece of alum there.

Good point, totally forgot about NHRA, my local track isn't with them.

I picked up a piece of 1/4 inch lexan today to redo mine, same price as metal sheeting. Should be interesting.

i cut mine out as well. i put a temporary plate on it for now that is a poor job. i need to take off as much as i can from the head and the surrounding area so i can mock up and finish a decent plate on it.

i did mine this way so i could retain the heat as well.
