^ My buddy had a spintech muffler (or something) on his 02 SS.. Sounded AMAZING! Had a great classic muscle sound with just bolt-ons.

I think Mufflex has a Spintech muffler for their systems. Nothing wrong with it, not a lot of people use it. No real reason, just not a huge following.

Where can I find the mufflex system? That is strange on the impala ss forum 90% of the owners fealt spintech was the best sounding and performing. They also thought flowmaster was trash.

You can get a 3" cat-back directly from SpinTech($400), for a 3.5" or 4" system go with a Mufflex cat-back.

Yeah I like the sound,I thought it was a lil more than 400 for a catback though,I thought it was over 500,the best catback for a ls1 car is a gmmg,a lot of people prefer it over even duals, seems like all lt1s sound good with no matter what catback is on there, its kinda hard to get the ls1 to sound great but its all in your taste,I'm trying the true dual route with sweet thunders, heard one car with the duals and it sounded freaking great,

^ I'm waiting for the Kooks TD system, myself. The whole exhaust needs to be replaced.

if you want a gmmg catback, save yourself the money and just take a hammer to a set of straight pipes. same sound.

Ya it will sound good but not flow the best. I would say is is one of the worst flowing catbacks for these cars.

I have never heard anyone say a gmmg did not flow well, the best exhaust for the money is the tsp duals,450 and sounds great no matter what muffler, they are on the loud side, check vengance racing for the gmmg, they have a group purchase every now and then on tech and its a 100 off, what mods do you have or plan to do,that can really help exhaust choice

What model? It wont be louder I know that. I have a Dynomax bullet (pretty much the same thing) and its alot louder than the Pro Street I used to have. Tone wise I would say the Spintech will most likely sound better depending on the model/condition its in. Obviously it wont flow as well seeing as it is an actual muffler and not a straight through resonator....probably not a whole lot of noticeable difference performance wise...

I have a buddy with gmmg and in my opinion it sounds like ****. He bought the car with it on it. I have TSP true duals and love it, but im thinking bout trying a set of spintechs on it just for the hell of it.

Numerous examples of guys getting double digit power gains by removing the 3.5 or 4 inch spintech muffler as well as .2 at the track
