Default guys with long tubes.

Im looking to buy Pacesetter Painted Headers & Off-Road Y-Pipe Combo
what kind of problems arise from this swap like dents and dings in long tubes clearance between them and ground. also how will this affect changing spark plugs.

Running pacesetters here and love em... one of the best bang for the buck longtube headers for sure. I was also running their Y pipe with no issues. I would save to get the ceramic coated headers for sure.

You should be able to find a used set of headers in the classifeds for alot less.

I have that set up with slp lm1 and love it! Just get new motor mounts or it will bang on the floor. Plugs are easy to change with headers!

i like easy plugs. the first time i changed them it took forever. im trying to find a write up on getting rid of the plastic cover over the heater core or making it small to make it even easier.

BTW could you explain the difference ceramic coated and painted. Is it just they will last longer. Also i work at a place that will powder coat them for around $10.

Your car will be ALOT louder

Is that a problem

Ground clearence does suck with that combo. I just avoid speed bumps.

I have the plain old black painted pacsetters with tsp ory. I seem to be one of the only people on this board who didnt have to much of a problem with the tsp ory. The other guys said something bout bad clearance with this setup, seriously idk how it could be bad. Ill get some pics for ya.

The clearence issues with mine is probably due to the cats. Its not THAT bad I guess.

i didn't have to cut anything when i installed my pacesetters, but i did have to remove the steering linkage, it wasn't hard.....i went with the ceramic coated ones and love them....headers and true duals were the best mods i've done to my car so far.....i'm lowered almost 2" (no cats) and my ground clearance is good everywhere except for the tallest speedbumps, stock ride height should be ok w/pacesetters....before duals, i bought the pacestter y-pipe and sold it quickly.....get the TSP-y, it has a much better merge

Runnin ceramic coated pacesetters with tsp duals on a 98 formula..didnt have to cut, dent, or remove anything extra to install em, just slid right up and clearance isnt much worse..just a little but with the duals and a lowered car, I don't have clearance anyway haha

whats this about changing spark plugs is cake now tho? Still a bitch haha

Don't go cutting your block lol. If you take the steering linkage out before hand it makes it easier than pie. 7 hours tops oh and get band clamps and sealant. Don't use those crap u clamps or you WILL have clearance issues lol

No cutting of anything here. The motor mount comment is a good suggestion. Get the coated ones for sure or they'll look like *** in a year.
