Default Emissions and Cats...

so i tried to search for what I was looking for maybe i wasn't searching the right key words...

So i'll be moving to Denver in a month or so. Right now I don't think I have a chance in hell passing emissions.

My car has a great tune on it but as you can see in my signature, I have long tubes no cats 3" ORY and TSP Rumbler... If I just add cats to my ORY make into an On-Road-Y, what are the odds of passing the sniffer... As of right now I won't even pass the visual inspection...

Is there a noise policy in Denver? if-so i'm screwed there too....

What Cats are going to give me least amount of power loss? Will i have to reprogram to put my back o2's back in?

any info/insight would be great - I really don't want to add cats..

It should pass if you have EGR and Cats with a warmed up engine. Don't know about the visual test, but it should pass the sniffer with those two.

Well, you might (Very slim chance) be able to pass the sniffer without egr, but you'll definitely need cats.

If your car isn't passing the tests even after all of that, then you could get a premium smog test and be done with it.

Dont worry about the visual as long as they see them your fine. I live in dever and have a similar set up. Find some regular cats that will support the engine size. Cut a section out of each side of your ory. Then weld a flange to each side of that cat as well as the pipes. Bolt the cats in for emissions then take them out and bolt the strait pipes in. its as easy as 1-2-3. Now they will bitch about no o2 sensors. Id put the front ones in. the back 2 dont worry about. If they say you need them, tell them **** off and to run it. you should be good.

No problem. You should be fine passing. Colorado is strict but its not cali. They wont kill you here. Cats are gonna be the biggest thing. Just get those put in pour some alcohol in the tank get her good and warmed up and take it in for emissions.
