If you want to to keep your current steam pipes, You have to grind some of the ridges off the bottom of the manifold, It doesnt hurt the manifold structurally, and you cant see it when its on the car, I did it to my LS6 before I got my fast. A ton of guys have done it on this site, and no problems. There are a ton of threads on how to do it.

^ Yeah.. Dremel them and be careful. We already had a guy punch through the belly of the intake when he was trying to chisel the ribs off.
Check the classifieds section here. LS6 intakes go for $300-$350 all day (used.) You don't need it brand new.
