Default Iat sensor location?

Anyone have any input on iat sensor location. My mti clear lid had it located in the lid. I switched to a 100mm lid, tb, intake.

The bellows i got had the iat sensor hole in it.

Ive had a hard time getting it to idle right regardless of what I do tuning wise.

The only thing i can think of anymore is perhaps the iat sensor location is not in a good spot. Any input?

If you are in SD, I like to move the sensor to a place that it sees outside air to avoid heat-soak issues. Heat soak can lead to very hard starting in some cases and rough running until the car moves into CL. MAF calibrations are much more tolerant to IAT heat soak.

What IAT sensor are you running? The stock stand-alone sensor? I've had good luck moving it elsewhere (outside of the intake tract so that it measures ambient air, and not radiator/engine heated air).
