Default A.I.R. tube question

the tubes that connect to the headers, is is bad to not have them tightened down all the way? Sorry if its a pretty retarded question im kind of a rookie with all this because its a PITA to put the bolts on that pacesetter gave me.

If your referring to the egr/air tube that goes to the stock manifolds then yeah they need to be and also have good gaskets otherwise you will hear a loud knockish sound first couple minutes the car is running. I'm needing to order some right now actually

Yeah, if you are going to use them it needs to be tight/sealed.

Loose may let air into the exhaust and possibly throw your O2 readings off.

the car will run poorly if the exhaust is leaking out that close to the heads, youll also get a build up of exhaust fumes in the engine compartment.
