Default Need pics and ideas-3" Y, 4" merge, 4" bullett, 4" cutout, back to 3"

Hey Guys,
I'd love some help here...

Yes, I've searched.

Currently, I have a Pacesetter ORY to a 3" qtp to a 3" Hooker catback. Overall, I like my setup, but the pulsing rat-tat-tat rasp is getting old. I did open up the restricted Y. I want a better flow and sound. My 4rth QTP cutout is coming apart, so I want to change things up.

I've decided what I want, now I just need to go about ordering the right parts. I'm keeping the pacesetter y, but replacing the merge with a 4".

Where did you get the reducers, etc? Is the Flowtech merge the way to go?

On to the I pipe...
If I were to get a 4" bullet to tone the rasp before the cutout, should I order the 16" and which brand?

The cutout...
I'm going with a 4" DMH this time with a turndown.

I'd like to see pics of similar setups and recommendations of what and where you ordered. Also, how did it change the sound?

Thanks for the help!

Current setup:

What LT's do you have? I didn't see it. And the flowmaster merge is the most sought after.

If your Y is 3", the merge should plug right into it with some fab work.

As far as the bullet, sweet thunders are supposed to sound nice. I've got a Dynomax bullet muffler in my CB now. Sounds ok.

Here's PatG's setup on his TA. Not a flowmaster merge, but equivalent. Kooks LTs.

^ If it's a Pacesetter LT setup, TSP has a decent Y out now. Not a true FLOWMASTER merge, but close.

Very nice!

How long is the muffler?
Your cutout is a lot farther back. I don't know if I'll be able to use the existing location for mine with a 16" muff. I already ordered a 3" in/4" out Flowmaster merge. If I did what you did, I would have to buy a 4" mandrel bend and make my own cutout. I do like the location of yours. It would definitley be quieter inside....

When I get the merge, I'll have do do some measuring.

How does it sound? any rasp with it open?

Bayer.. Stupid question.. is that you in your Avatar pic

The Power stick in the I Pipe is Medium 3" x 3" overall length is 25".. The power stick KILLED I would say about 98% of my rasp. I am running a GMMG c/b

In my idle vid I tell you when i open and close the cut out. It starts off closed.. And my car is quiet on the inside

Here are some track vids with my set up.. All vids, my cutout is open.. Ohh yeah I beat the 04 Cobra all 3 times too He had adj suspension, live axle swap, M/T DRs, 75 Shot and exhaust

^ Nah.. That's the man himself.. I only wish I had dark hair, let alone hair PERIOD. But seriously... lol.. I used to LOVE me some Keystone! Drank the HELL outta that stuff a couple years ago! (quit almost two years ago)

A bit slow at the tree, eh? Got better toward the end, but I always fear the embarrassment of a redlight.. Sometimes I wish I had an auto. Manuals are quite inconsistent with no line lock and no 2 step.

And your PB Vid is blocked/login.

yea i was slow off the tree.. The reason is bc I'm an M6 car with the STOCK glass 10 bolt.. So I was jsut concentrating on the launch not wanting to blow the rear up with the ET Street DRs

^ I hear the 10b worries. Buddy and I want to go to the track to have a good ole Stang Vs Camaro grudge match, but I'm really worried about my rear. More power now. But I was never slamming out of the tree anyway.

I'd sort of like to keep the existing location.... I wonder if a 16" will fit? I like the idea of the DMH cutouts being keyed so I can level things up.
