Default Torqued new gm crank bolt wrong.

I made a mistake when installing my new gm TTY crank pulley bolt. I installed and torqued it to what ARP says for there bolt which is 240 ft lbs. I see now that I should have done 37 ft lbs and then 140 degrees for the new gm bolt.

The bolt is still very tight and seems fine after 4 dyno runs and about 50 miles of street driving should I just leave it or is it a must that I remove it and install a new bolt the right way.

Is there a torque number that coverts close to what the bolt would be after turning it 140 degrees?

240 is tight as he'll in my book, I can't believe that you would have a problem.

I don't think I will either and I rather not mess with it if its not needed. I've read more then one thread about people getting very unlucky and breaking crank bolts off while removing them. But at the same time I don't want it flying off at 6500rpm either.

so you seated the pulley with the old bolt at 240ft lbs first? and then the new bolt the same?

I've installed mine the same way twice according to LS1HowTo and never had a problem.

Yes I seated it with the old one at 240 and then torqued the new one to 240 ft lbs also. My mind was on other parts of the cam swap at the time and ended up doing this the wrong way.
