Default Loudmouth + Long tubes = Not very loud (review)

I just hooked up a loudmouth 1 system with Pacesetter Long tubes and a Texas Speed Y pipe with high flow cats. It sounds great but its only loud at wot. Idle sounds alittle louder than stock and driving around is very deep and mean. There is alittle rasp up top but nothing noticable. Its only alittle louder than my flowmaster 40 series that was on there before. I am actually thinking of taking the cats off to make it louder.

Price 10/10 -$375
Loudness-7/10
Flow-10/10 Since its pretty much an empty resonator.
Sound quality-10/10 (Opinion) Sounds like a flowmaster on steriods lol
Overall I really like the exhaust Thanks to everyone who helped me in my last thread.

Give the catback a little time to break in...my magnaflow got consistently louder for the first couple days.

Theres nothing to break in, no muffler. I really like it I just thought it would be much louder.

stand outside your car, and have someone drive it in front of you going through the gears, and then tell me its not loud....

all the time I say my car isn't loud at all, yet everyone around me in a 2 mile radius says they cant hear a thing when I go by....loudness inside the car, and much different then outside.

This is true too. Sound infront of where the exhaust exits sounds way different then standing behind it.

Stand behind your car and have someone else start it, rev it, and take off in it...you'll think differently. Then if it's not loud enough for you, take the cats off and do the same thing...I think you'll want the cats back on...

Sweet. Glad you like your new setup Mike.

Not sure if I would drop cats, if i were you. You'll probably get the desired increase in volume, but as mentioned above, you will also multiply the Rasp.

But as I've said before, its your ride. Do with it what you will.

I've heard quite a videos with LT/ORY/LM1 Setup, but never in person. My Jet Hot Y-pipe has removable cats. If I need to remove it during my upcoming clutch installation maybe I'll reinstall it without the cats just to see first hand what all the fuss is about.

Again, congrats on the new setup!

MY Pacesetters and TSP ORY, and LM1 are loud as F**K, You can hear it from 2 miles away and sounds like open headers @ WOT. Waiting on Borla XR1 to come in. Hopefully this will tame it down a bit.

I actually think the sound quality is very good with the loudmouth. Others will probably disagree. I never heard sweet thunders though. I agree wot sounds sick. Probably even better outside the car.
