Default Which K&N Filter comes with their intake?

I want to run an open filter on my Z, seems easy enough to buy some tubing and their filter and hook it up for much cheaper than $300+. Anyone know which filter, or where I can get it? Anyone tried this? With it sitting near the front of the car, seems like there is plenty of cold air and a lot less restrcitive than the stock lid. Any ideas, please throw them out there.

That is a **** pot of money for one of those things! You could probably make one pretty easy. I made a shield for mine with out to much hassle.

Looking to make my own FIPK, for about the same price as a lid...would this filter, fit under the hood and just hook right up to the stock tubing?

Seems like it would. 7"x6.25"x4". Seems like plenty of clearance for a homemade fipk.
