Default Best 4x9 Muffler for TSP True Duals Dumped

Hey guys, currently running TSP True duals dumped with the Dynomax bullets. I love it, my girlfriend loves it, my neighbors hate it, and the local LEOs are starting to give me crap about it sooooo......

This system is pretty modular so I'm going to keep the bullets for the track and when I'm just feeling like being loud and get a pair of 4x9x14" ovals offset/center to band clamp on when I need it to be quieter.

The ONLY muffler I see people using other then bullets on this site are either Flowmaster 40s (too loud) or the Magnaflow 4x9 (11229) which seems decent.

Looking in the Jegs catalog there are quite a few so I'm hoping some people here have used some of the other mufflers. I'm looking for a muffler that performs decent and will also quiet this bitch down so I don't have to drive like an old man everywhere I go to keep the cherries from popping behind me... with that said: (assuming all 14" long and offset inlet/center outlet)

1) Magnaflow 4x9 - $83.99
3) Flowtech Afterburner 4x10 - $45.99
4) Pypes Race Pro 4x9 - $59.99
5) Hooker Aerochamber Size? - $69.99
6) Flowmaster Deltaflow 4x10 - $85.99
7) Flowmaster Super44 4x9.5 - $79.99
8) Dynomax Super Turbo 4x10 - $55.99

This is just what I see in the Jegs catalog. What would be the quietest? I'm leaning towards the Magnaflow or the Dynomax Super Turbo... But if anybody has experience with any of the above please feel free to chime in. Again looking for a quiet muffler and willing to sacrifice some performance, I have the bullets when I want to race.

With band clamps I figure it would be a 15min job tops to change mufflers if I get the hangers set up for a quick change. Thanks!!!

On a side note I am leaving them dumped as I'm sure some people will say run them out the back... I like the cleaner look and I'm perfectly fine with the bullets and corrosponding interior noise so it doesn't need to be quieter to me. I just need exterior noise toned down!!!

I had a weight bench above my garage and the barbell weights would vibrate off the barbell if I didn't have a clamp on them. I'm sure my neighbors just loved it...

Honestly, if you're going to keep your bullets for the track, then just throw a cheap set of Thrush chambered mufflers on.. They sound great, almost exactly like a 40 series flowmaster & are like $29 a piece.. I ran them on mine before I got my spintech low profiles.

had the hookers on my dads roadster---they have a deep modest sound, nothing like the bullets...I think though, they are too large to fit in the bullet location under your car.

Old thread. I know. Has anyone used the Magnaflow 11229 for TD's mentioned in the first post?
