Has anyone tried BBK's underdrive pulley set?

Interesting. I like BBK products. It doesn't say the exact underdrive %, but it looks like most 25% UD pullies. I'd like to know how well it's harmonic balancer works also. It's definitely a plus that is has that.

Uses stock belts also, maybe someone can give us feedback or i'll just have to be the guinea pig lol

OK the stock belt thing could be a lie, the book I saw it in said it did but instructions seem like it doesn't.

I think they are the same pullies that summit advertises on their brand but I'm not 100% sure. I doubt the harmonic balancer is as good as an ati though.. oh and it def is 25% underdrive and therefore needs a shorter belt.

The alternator may be overdriven, and it may not need a shorter belt. But if the alternator doesn't make up for the underdriven HB, then yah, it would need a shorter belt.

The pulley looks just like a Summit brand that has been having failures recently.

appologize but im a newb lol... so what is an underdrive pulley and what does it do for my car? again i appologize but seen alot of talk throughout the threads but i cant find anything to explain to me what it is and what it does... thanks

It slows the accs on the front of the motor down. They rob power at higher rpm. By slowing them down you free up a few hp and prolong their life because they spin slower.
