Angry ldler pulley screams

sorry if this has already been said.but ineed some advice.98 z/28 accessary idler pulley started screaming after sitting for a month this winter.i know it's the pulley because using a stethescope, noise was coming right from idler pulley and no where else.i replaced the pulley and the same squealing is coming right from the new one.it goes away for 30 seconds if i spray a shot of wd-40 behind the pulley.any ideas appreciated.

I have the same problem...thought it was the idler so replaced.....still there...turns out the stock crank pulley can cause this. I have used some belt dressing on it and it works for a while. I don't really drive the car so its not a biggy for me.....

^ That. Make sure if you go for re-greasing you clean everything really well and get all the old grease out and such, if not chances are it will return.

New pulleys aren't always greased very well from the manufacturer.
