Default Is a baffle needed for the fresh air vent?

Im putting aftermarket valve covers on my car and there is no line for the fresh air vent. I took the fitting off the factory one drilled the new valve cover for it and it fits perfectly. I'm also doing the ls6 valley cover but my question is does the fresh air vent have to be baffled or is it always sucking in? Is there ever a reversion in airflow that will allow oil to go back out? Thanks, Joe

I'd like to know myself. Thinking of sticking a breather on there.

I been using a billet PCV breather with the pcv valved removed from it with the same GMPP valve covers for about a month now and no oil coming up through it.

Earl s Performance 3434114ERL

All the billet aluminum breathers with a removable pcv valve and 3/8" slip on hose connection will work, just remove the pcv valve and use it for you fresh air inlet.

BTW, there's a lot to choose from!
