Default SLP Heavy Duty Oil Pump

I am doing a cam swap next week which will lead into the procharger build. Since I will be in there would it be worth upgrading to the SLP heavy duty oil pump.

Its a ported and blueprinted pump so is it a must since I am in there to get rid of the LS1 pump or just a want.

Not sure if it would increase oil pressure or not over what the stock pump can do, anyone know?

What do you guys think?

Dunno who makes the SLP pump, but I like Melling's line-up. I recommend the 10295 high pressure, stock volume pump.

You don't need it
Your stock pump is fine(older ones are the ones that are trouble with the bad oring) or you may port if you want more flow.
